About Lynette –
Her Heart & Passion

My mom is the most incredible woman there is! She has always modeled how to love others well, especially the least of these. I cannot express how grateful I am to have learned this from watching her throughout my life.

Her daily reflections are so honest and raw, it’s refreshing to be able to laugh, cry, and relate to her as she shares her daily dialogue with her and God.

Why through a glass darkly?

Since 2019, Lynette battled an ovarian cancer diagnosis (stage 3c), and felt as though she was trying to see “through a glass darkly.” This is a reference to I Corinthians 13:12 where the apostle Paul concedes, “For now we see through a glass darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as I am known.” Lynette went to heaven on July 14, 2023.

Suffering of any sort darkens the glass through which we view the world, ourselves and especially God. I hope these “reflections” will shine a bit of a light on your path to help you find your way with hope. God is there… and cares… even when we only see Him “through a glass darkly.”

My Story

Lynette Galisewski’s bio is a bit bionic… if not bipolar! Her past includes being a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, competitive body builder, President of Woman’s Business Association in San Diego, NBA Cheerleader, wrangler at a horse ranch, owner of an aerobic dance company, and wide, mother, and grammy. Somehow it has all made sense to this quirky woman!

Lynette retired and spent much of her time volunteering at a program for adults with developmental disabilities to help them run a coffee shop and community food bank. An avid lover of God and the art of writing, her passion is capturing her journey in honest words to help others make sense out of their journeys.

My Legacy

“… I want to leave a legacy, How will they remember me?
Did I choose to love? Did I point to you enough?
To make a mark on things. I want to leave an offering.
A child of mercy and grace. Who blessed your name unapologetically. And leave that kind of legacy.”

The song Legacy by Nichole Nordeman has always stuck out to me. I want to leave a legacy behind that shows how I lived my life for God and choose to share that love with others.
