Yesterday I got my smaller chemo infusion of Avastin. I like to avoid reading all the potential side effects because they freak me out and cause me to be hypersensitive to every little bleep that my body gives off. BUT I DO like to get a visual on the potential good stuff they are accomplishing. In a thumbnail sketch, Avastin chokes off the blood supply to fast-growing cancer cells. A seek and destroy mission! Strangles them to death! No mercy! “Die gas pumper!” Great visual for me! Experts swear that visualization of the cancer combat is a powerful healing force in the victory, so I guess I will have to join Ed in his love of watching UFC matches (Ugh!) as I cheer Avastin on in securing that elusive choke hold! And no mercy in the tap out… this is a life and death match! So Lord, direct this drug to choke out the true enemy and leave my good stuff intact. No “friendly fire” fallouts in this mano y mano battle!
