Reflections 9/14/2020: Well, I have to say “shame” is my best motivator for keeping a clean house! Both of my kids, at different times, and different rooms in the house, pointed out spiderwebs taking over our living space! Webs I was totally oblivious to! Or perhaps could care less about! (Spiders need space too!) What is going on inside of me, Lord, that is making me sooo blasé toward house-keeping? I’d like to blame it on this bout with cancer, but this apathy has been setting in for a while now. A “what’s the point?” domestic depression. Hmmm… I’m not depressed in the mainstream of my life… just in these cob-webbed corners of arachnid occupation… (and embracing dust as long-lost loved ones!) Selective sluggishness! Sooo, pep talk time God! I must reframe “house-keeping” as “Home-making.” Literally MAKING our home, homey! Caring for family via hands on cleaning (and cooking while we’re at it!). Inject a vitamin B shot in my lackadaisical butt! Shame me into action! Spiders’ lives matter too… but they can do their web creation elsewhere!
