Reflections 9/22/2020: This picture tantalizes all of my senses!! Love the aroma of horse hair close by, but mix it with sea air and it becomes intoxicating! The texture of the silky sand on my hinny (“ass in the sand” as Zac Brown would 🎶) is nirvana! The sight and sound of the crystalline waves rolling lackadaisically to the shore is hypnotic. And the taste of salty sea on my lips makes even potato chips unnecessary! Ahhh, Heaven! Ties right in to the “Jesus Calling” devotional this morning. “When the hope of heaven fills your thoughts, the Light of My Presence envelops you. Though Heaven is future, it is also present tense. As you walk in the Light with Me, you have one foot on earth and one foot in Heaven.” I feel that often! Foretastes of Heaven, while still planted here on earth! How thankful I am for those cosmic straddles… sensory transports! AND the promise that “Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man, the things which God has prepared for those who love Him.” (I Cor. 2:9) (Just a hint though Lord, this picture pretty much captures what would do it for me on Heaven’s crystal shores!)
