Reflections 11/15/2020: I have felt so limited and stagnant in this COVID shutdown. Like some sort of prison without bars. Wimpy and waiting for some sort of release. As I was reading about believers incarcerated around the world, I realized that bars don’t have to make ANY difference in how we do life! They may limit our physical movement, but they can’t touch that inner connection with a you, Jesus. The most precious thing in our lives! And out of that flowing river of grace we can make the most out of even the most restrictive prisons! Paul singing worship songs in chains. Bloody from being beaten, but still drinking refreshment from Your waters of hope. Bars fell away in his choice to worship! And onlookers fell to their knees in awe and discovery of You! Impact for You was actually facilitated by the bars! As Paul proclaimed in chains, “Now I want you to know, brothers and sisters, that my circumstances have turned out for the greater progress of the gospel.” (Phil.‬ ‭1:12‬) Sooo Lord, wimpy me, who whines when I am confined to the luxurious comforts of my home, needs to get a grip! Explore the confines of my “prison” and discover all the ways I can still delight in You… and maybe even help others find that same Delight!
