Second of 12 chemo infusions. Ticking them away! They alternate every 2 weeks with a massive dose of 3 chemicals, then a smaller infusion of one. Yesterday’s was the small one, so I am interested to see what side-effects it will bless me with. So far just a bit of ditziness, which is hard to distinguish from normal for me! Accompanying me on my journey yesterday was Elphonso, my furry elephant, and the world’s brightest blanket! Both compliments of my wonderfully supportive sister Bonnie. Elphonso made the rounds to a few other “infusionists,” blessing them with his ridiculously soft Rex Rabbit fur and trunk full of hope! Funny how we compare notes on our respective woes as our common denominator, cancer, binds us into a blood-brother/sister community not of our own choosing. Probably a lot like an AA meeting where we also hope to count the months, then years of being clean! Death likewise being the alternative. And YOU being our “Greater Power” to infuse our weakness with Your victorious strength! “Hello my name is Lynette, and I am a cancer patient.” But I am not alone! Lots of external support, (including Elphonso!), and lots of inner strength, compliments of Your indwelling Presence! Infuse away!
