Reflections 2/4/2020: Look who blessed me with a hospital visit yesterday! Miss Eevee! Leaped onto my lap and smothered my shell-shocked face with kisses! Instant joy! Given her non-therapy dog status, it didn’t take long for the hospital staff to bust her illegal invasion into the hospital and request her removal… but the puppy-love therapy treatment was enough to give me a much needed boost! (Thanks Anthony and Ben for sneaking in this cute contraband!) Well, the bad news is my extended stay has been due to a cancer diagnosis… probably ovarian. (Final, definitive type is still pending). The good news is that it is one of the more treatable types. Good successful rates of recovery… with not much nausea from the chemotherapy! I will have to donate my head ‘a  hair to the healing process, but what’s a little coiffure sacrifice for a great cause?! Already conjuring up creative turbans for an exotic look!

Well God, a whole new chapter for us lies ahead. Feels daunting to me from this vantage point, but my experience of Your “there-ness” with me through all the ups and downs thus far in my life give me courage to face this one day at a time. So we will. Together. With Ed as my help-mate in the “for better or for worse” of this valley of our lives. There is great relief at least in knowing the identity of this body snatcher that has harassed me for the past 3 months! And relief that there is some recourse in treating it! Thank You God for that! And little Eevee visits!
