As I sit here in my “trysting” (and trusting) spot with You Lord, I can barely stay upright. The chemo hit me like a wrecking ball last night. BUT those 48 hours of reprieve were glorious! Long walk with Roo to see the horses (and sneak them some luscious grass), AND a full-fledged hunting trip to all the yard sales in our community garage sale weekend! (Hmmm… not sure what I’ll do with that log cabin I bought?) Does it get any better? So I guess this morning’s lethargy is just a temporary trip through the ups and downs of this process. Sarah Young’s words in “Jesus Calling” buoyed me up though, at just the right moment… just as a pair of vibrant blue jays perched on our pergola. “The world is filled with beautiful things; they are meant to be pointers to Me, reminders of my abiding Presence.” Made me laugh to watch their staccato head bobs as they evaluated the food I had thrown out for them… measuring that against Roo’s proximity to that food. Sooo much attitude there! God, I love all the variety and creativity You’ve packed into this beautiful world You’ve made! It truly DOES “remind me of Your abiding Presence!” Something I need right now in my weakness.
