Reflections 10/12/2020: Probably more true than we’d like to admit! Survived COVID, but to what effect? Isolation. Depression. Goodbyes never said. Businesses bankrupted. Careers careening into the rocks. Graduations and weddings stripped of their life/long dreams. Confusing, contradictory, protective protocols. Fear. Distrust. Political finger pointing. Masks. Masks. Masks. Hello pig-snouts!
BUT, in any challenging experience in our lives, it is also helpful, even redeeming, to ferret out the good that CAN come of it, if we dig a little deeper. So here goes for me. •Stripping away many non-essentials that I THOUGHT were essentials… and the traveling lighter that that brings!
•Discovering anew how precious human relationships are so I can pour more of myself into them.
•Re-sparking my resourcefulness for self-entertainment, becoming less dependent on constant external activities for fulfillment.
•Feeling less alone in my cancer recovery as all of us were struggling with loss.
So pig-snouts… whether you ever return to normal, I can learn to find beauty in your enlarged nostrils and luscious lips!
