Can’t stop laughing at this! (And boy do I need to laugh… assuming it lowers blood pressure!) My journey with Jesus has taken me through so many different denominations over the years that NOTHING surprises me now! Baptized as an infant in a Catholic Church, raised and confirmed as a Lutheran, cut my “born-again” teeth in the Baptist persuasion, dabbled in Pentecostalism where my adult baptism begged for water-soaked speaking in tongues, danced in Congo-lines at 4-square assemblies, fled to non-denominational churches to escape too much rigidity (or craziness!), and now move fluidly to any sanctuary that honors You Jesus… especially for what You accomplished on this day, Good Friday, 20 centuries ago. I guess one could say I am “multi-lingual” in the full spectrum of Christianity. And love the cross-cultural flexibility. Each has their own beauty and unique portal into Your Presence, God. By personality I am more of a Captain Kirk in my my knee-dropping worship, but can appreciate Mr. Spock’s seeming stoicism in his expression of awe of You. Makes our communal worship way more “diverse” (catch-word now!) and thus more interesting. Better keep up with my yoga stretching to have the flexibility of body to holy-roller my best worship moves to Your glory!
