Reflections 6/24/2020: You never know what a day will bring!! One minute you are stranded in quarantine mode, and the next swept up in a doorless car, cruising the hood to Jimmy Buffett! A delightful joy ride in this adorable Polaris Gem! Unexpected outings! The precious thing about this blue cruiser is that it is the personal possession of Steph (in the back seat), who has developmental disabilities. Her parents searched far and wide for just the right vehicle that would enable her to feel her own wheels! She is able to drive it herself (with a little pedal help from her shotgun rider.) A right of passage many DD folk never get. I love their desire to normalize her growing up with customized opportunities! Steph is sooo proud of her party car! So we cruised. Had coffee. And caught up on all the scoop from Stepping Stone. Felt like old times! Thank you Steph and family for busting me out of quarantine for this open air excursion!
