Well, round 2 of my 6 hour infusion on last Thursday. Surprisingly the actual process is peaceful and comfortable. Who’d ‘a thunk that poison being pumped into your body could go in so easily? Had my day of steroid-induced reprieve yesterday, but the onslaught has begun. Bright red swollen checks. Headache. Dizziness. A touch of nausea. And itchy spots popping up all over my body. Luckily I chronicled the progression last round, so if it stays true to that course, I will be home fairly free in a few days. Just need to bite the bullet for a few earthly rotations! We can do that God! So the secret is to tweak my expectations of what I can accomplish for these next few days and gently accept the reality of lots of horizontal bed time as my appointed mission. Intentionality in my healing… even in its seeming passivity. At least my hair has survived this particular chemical cocktail! That is a gift God! Thank You for keeping more hairs on my head to keep count of!
