Reflections 1/3/2020: GREAT STRATEGY for covering up my creeping dementia! (Biden would do well to adopt this comeback! Haha!) Yesterday I could not (for the life of me!) conjure up the name of a friend that I know very well! What the hell? Hit me 9 hours later as I crawled into bed. So helpful then! 🤓 God, what is going on in my neurological synapses that is blocking this recovery of words… especially names? I’d worry more about it but it seems to be par-for-the-course among my peers. Senior moments… like acne in adolescence. Sooo… do I adopt this strategy of avoiding the problem with clever coverups, or do I just straight-forwardly own it as a reality of the new emerging me? Hmmm… I’m more of a “love me, love my senility” kind of gal! “Honesty is the best policy.” Sooo, don’t be offended if my brain can’t recall your name. My heart still remembers all our precious times together… and that’s what truly counts!
