This is my getaway this weekend! My sister Bonnie’s “She-Shed”, (female version of a Man-Cave), on her horse ranch in Durango! Is that the cutest thing you’ve ever seen or what?!! And the inside is just as magical! These rockers facing the lily-padded pond are absolutely BEGGING for some great conversations! And my sister Bonnie always produces the BEST of them. Drove down yesterday with Bryn and Anthony, (Ed is in NJ celebrating … or bemoaning… their arrival into their 60’s with all his high school buddies). We’ve already gotten so many horse kisses (especially from the 4 new babies), that I think we’ll need to be checked for hoof-in-mouth disease! And best yet, their last pregnant mare is showing all the signs of popping her foal while we are here!

Roo is in his element too! Feeling his Aussie ranch roots for the first time. Manure suits him! God, it is amazing how You built instincts into all of Your creation. Even watching the 2 maiden mares entranced by their first babies is heart-warming. They just sense what to do naturally.

I remember THAT discovery when my first, Braun was born. A premie at 3lbs11oz, SOMETHING took over inside of me! Protectiveness. Sacrificial abandonment. Tenderness.  Heck, ME, the woman the nursery at church banned from helping out because my hyper-energy made all the babies cry non-stop, NOW was the most nurturing, soothing source of love in the Universe! Miracles happen!

Even now as I allow the morning breezes to brush my face with peaceful joy, I feel Your miraculous healing touch Lord. Breathe it in deeply Lynette! So meet me in the She-Shed for some great talks Jesus.
