I snagged this little door stopper at a garage sale years ago and it just dawned on me why I keep it around (despite clashing with my already weird enough decor!) It is a symbol of victory!  “Ding dong the witch is dead! Which old witch? The wicked witch!”  Putting to end the reign of some hurtful behavior or habit in my life! Hypersensitivity. Unforgiveness. Impulsivity. Default distrust of You Lord. Lots of wicked witches to land houses on! But land they do, (often after a tumultuous storm!), not only ending an abusive  reign of terror, but slapping a pair of ruby slippers on my surprised feet for new power to love better! But like Dorothy, someone is pissed off at me by my crushing success! “I’ll get you my pretty!” And tries to sabotage my victories with the scary flying monkeys of lies and accusations!  Da-dun-da-dun-da-dun!!!  God, remind me that a bucket of Your pure water is weapon enough to shut down those lies and melt that tormentor away! So ruby slippers, let’s “dance the night away” in celebration of victories, large and small!
