Well Roo sure had fun yesterday at the DogPark! Splashed in the pond then ground himself into the ground for a total spa massage! Ahhhh!!! Needless to say my car required a total cleaning from our trip home as well as one mud-crusted puppy! Funny but I didn’t care a bit! Just delighted in Roo’s carefree joy! At my age I think I grandparent our pup more than parent him. I find myself singing with Doris Day, “Que Será, Será. Whatever will be will be. The future’s not ours to see. Que Será, Será.” Traipsing through life does that to you! Gives you perspective on WHAT really matters in the long run. Mud happens. Why not make it fun? Roo sure does! And baths just give me more hands-on time with him! God, I guess that can be one of the perks of growing older… if we learn from life anyway. Maybe our younger years need to be more goal-oriented to plow through each day’s realistic challenges, but our older years afford us with time and space to just enjoy the moment! I like that! Makes the new freedom worth the wrinkles. Thank You God for Roo’s dirty delight… and my discovery of his vicarious joy!
