Reflections 11/13/2020: I love the fact that Roo sees a welcome sign on my lap at any time and any place! (Including the driver’s seat!) There is nary a doubt in his doggy mind that his cuddling assumption might be intrusive or unwelcome. Even after being disciplined for a chewing violation, he still noses his way onto our laps for comfort, assured that we still love him. God, I wish I had a bit more of Roo’s faith in the infallibility of my Master’s love for me! 51 years of curling up on Your lap have made it a wonder-full go-to place for rest and restoration… but I do feel a little sheepish about this privilege when I know I have let You down. So I sometimes find fig leaves to hide behind when I hear Your voice calling to me “in the cool of the evening.” Don’t let me believe the devil’s lie that I am no longer welcome on Your lap. You forgive… and even forget. Help me to do the same. “Entitled” lap lounging? Yes… but only “entitled” because Jesus bought that privilege with his own blood! Welcome sign out. “Everyone welcome… for eternity!”
