Reflections 10/10/2020: Is everyone being barraged by these car warranty calls? And why now? My car’s warranty expired 7 years ago! Suddenly they care… desperately? I know I should cover my fanny (or fender), given the aging condition of my wheels… and my continued commitment to it, “til death do us part”… but it keeps running, so I keep believing it will not fall apart due to the wear and tear of the aging process, (though this hasn’t worked out well for my physical body!). These insurance companies’ persistence to get me covered for breakdowns reminds me a little of my dogged determination to share Your warranty, Jesus, with my loved ones. “All parts insured! Assurance in trouble! Roadside service everywhere in the world! Confidence to travel without fear! Breakdowns happen… not ‘if’ but ‘when,’ so plan ahead! He’s got you covered!” Perhaps obnoxious in its repetitiveness, but issued out of genuine love! Salvation warranties that not only rescue and reassure you in this life, but extend beyond to the next, for there is no “til death do us part” clause in the contract!
