Reflections 9/3/2020: Well Braveheart is FINALLY getting his recognition as a leader in his “parliament” of crow comrades! He has been an outcast all Spring, along with his limping friend, Lovely. Ignored. Avoided (due to their strangeness). And left to their own resources. But his resource-fullness included pushing past his fear instinct to become friends with me, a human. Now, as I serve up a banquet of breakfast, the distrustful crows line the fence, WAITING for Braveheart to arrive. Somehow his courage and obvious relationship with a scary person EN-courages them to risk closer proximity to me! Or at least a little curiosity! His arrival launches a flood of black feathers into the yard for a feast. God, somehow I hope allowing others to eavesdrop on my relationship with You has that same effect… courage and curiosity for them to draw closer to You as well! Safe? Yes, (but in an Aslan Lion sort of way!) Good? Absolutely! Protective and provisionary? Surprisingly so! And a feast awaits those willing to risk the proximity!
