Reflections 6/6/2020: I got a call yesterday from our timeshare hotel in Mexico, offering cheap rates for reservations made in the next few months. Even in my hibernation state I was sorely tempted to sign up! Sand between my toes! Waves pouring healing ions into my dilapidated body! All inclusive buffet bars set on the water’s edge to enjoy surf and turf all in one! Then my stomach growled with nausea at the thought and I had to reject his great offer. Next year Lynette. Be patient. But You blessed me with a beach-like treat this morning God! A warm, very tropical wind blowing off the Summer-green hills around my Colorado home. No water waves, but dancing trees! “The leaves on the trees clapping their hands” with animated joy! Transportive! So much like the morning breezes on a Mexican beach at dawn! Total body massage! Electric energy! Face caresses! Ahhhh… awe! Thank You God for these present-tense moments that help me realize there is beauty in wherever You plant me! Just gotta let go of the illusion that the grass is greener (or sandier) in a different location. Here and now is enough! Even more than enough! Devastatingly delight-full!! Clap away you Quaking Aspens!
