I caught Roo in one of his many regal poses the other morning on our walk. (I photoshopped out his leash though, in case you rangers want to hit me up with another off-leash violation!) Our puppy has become a… “dog.” (Just discovered there is no male equivalent to a female “bitch.”) 9 months old next week, we think he has stopped growing bigger. Has topped out at 26 pounds, (though he still mistakenly thinks he is a lap dog!) Up until now he’s been mostly a mama’s boy, but Ed has been challenging that with lots of time throwing (you name it) out in the backyard for Roo to retrieve! It’s working too! They are building a Roomance! I LOVE it! Blesses my heart to see Roo’s excitement when his Daddy comes home! Never underestimate the power of quality time in building a relationship. Especially when you are customizing that time to factor in the other participant in the relationship’s needs and wants. Hmmm… perhaps God, that is why You’ve created sooo many pathways into Your Presence. Nature, holy cathedrals, serving the needy, scholarly discovery, quietness, rampant worship, dialogue through prayer, artistic expression and… the sky’s the limit! I love Your versatility as our Father! And how You treasure our uniqueness in how we find our connection with You!
