Reflections 1/17/21: Well the “Zipper Ripper” has struck again! Roo is obsessed with destroying any zipper he can get his mouth on! He has a strange zipper vendetta! Somehow the protruding teeth of the contraption fascinate him and he MUST chew them to oblivion! Ahhh!!! He’s already trashed my down jacket, my favorite wooly shirt,  a pair of shoes with a zipper, Bryn’s coat and the closure on my new leather purse. (Last night it was Ed’s workout shorts, though Ed hasn’t discovered that yet). I have fought back though! Installed new zippers where I could, cut out chewed up teeth and realigned the zipper pullers, and given him chew toys that feel like zipper teeth in his mouth. Still the battle rages! Perhaps I can locate a ZA (Zippers Anonymous) support group for Roo to attend! I keep watching for the zipper parts to come out the other end, but no sightings yet. Maybe they are accumulating to zip that orifice closed… not a bad idea! God, that might be a good strategy for closing off my mouth that gets away from me sometimes! Teeth come together and my tongue is contained! So Roo, this is one zipper I can keep in my mouth, and out of yours! Zip it Lynette! Zip it!
