Reflections 1/28/21: Roo is blessing Ed and my heart with his love for his friend, Ducky! Sooo stinkin’ cute! He chews up and destroys all his other stuffed toys, but carries Ducky around as gently as he can. And heaven forbid we try to put him to bed without his bestie! He will whine and wander the house in search of the Duckman until he finds him! God, how I love the affection You built into all Your animals! Such tenderness toward their offspring, and even their friendships. It appears that my honeymoon period (which was marvelous yesterday!!) is over in this chemo invasion into my body, and I awoke with a throbbing headache, bright red checks and swollen eyes. Roo seems to sense it and has brought Ducky and his own soft puppy body to my side to snuggle and comfort me. He is such a bright spot in my life. (As is Ed!) Thank You for both of them! A bit of a storm on the Isle of Cancer, but we all will weather it together.
