It always connoted something creepy and self-serving to me as I associated it with the worst of thieves to go so low as to steal from the dead. But when Elevation Worship hijacked the term in their Easter song, “Resurrecting,” which accuses God of grave robbery, it exploded with brand new meaning for me!

Our God has robbed the grave!” 🎶

Holy smokes! That’s exactly what happened! Except the Robber wasn’t digging for buried treasure. He stole the Body! The resurrected Body WAS the treasure! Why? Because Jesus’ ‘come back from the dead’ Body certified Him to resurrect us!

🎶 “The resurrected King IS RESURRECTING ME!” 🎶

Signed. Sealed. Delivered on the cross! Sin defeated! Grave robbed! Death destroyed! Identity and authority endorsed by an empty tomb! So God, You are now in the business of endless grave ro
