Reflections March 1, 2020: I love the word “Serendipity! Besides, being fun to say, it can turn each day into a treasure hunt of unexpected discoveries! Yesterday was one of those that had Your fingerprints (“not accidental happening!”) all over it God! I was plugging in a heating pad to a wall plug where our Christmas tree lights had been months before. To my surprise, I found an unopened present from Christmas that had fallen unseen by the plug. When I opened it, it was a vibrant knit ski cap in all my favorite colors! Just what I needed now, given my freshly washed hair had clumped into corn rows of matted fur, and was about to be sawed off, in its last final stand! At Christmas I would have put it aside, not being a hat or cap person nor having any premonition that two months later, I would be stark raving, bald! But You knew God! And caused me to stumble upon it at just the right time! Those little coincidences bless my heart with poignant reminders that You care… And take joy in surprising me. I love You! I needed that reminder yesterday… Just as much as my new knit cap!
