Reflections 5/9/2020: Is this not the weirdest stretch of time we have ever experienced? Worldwide too!! Universal Twilight Zone! Today is the day our whole family was supposed to jump a plane to Mexico to play on their white sand beaches for a whole week! Disappointment and delayed gratification! How I especially hurt for those seniors who were sooo looking forward to all the homestretch events leading to their graduation! Sorry for your loss.😕 But really… What will Summer look like with the Coronavirus still at large? Are public pools and lakes safe for swimming?

Will we be putting rubber gloves on our feet? Heck, will I even leave the confines of my home given my high risk status? I hear You whispering, “one day at a time, Lynette. Don’t project out farther than the grace I am offering you for today.” OK. So what does that grace look like for today? Hmmm… patience for my slowness. Comfort for my cramping belly. Love and support from Ed and our kids. A home I treasure and appreciate. Heck, even a bubble bath is hydrated grace! So, Summer, “hello.” I will get to know you in whole new ways!
