Reflections 9/7/2020: Sometimes we think our efforts to comfort someone else are senseless and insignificant. Our impulses to help greatly surpass our actual ability to do so. Our philanthropy is as limited as our bank accounts. It is said that “the road to hell is paved with good intentions.” But that is not so! Quite the contrary! Good intentions, formed from a good heart are the pavers of Heaven! God, You know our intentions. Heck, You inspire those intentions! All You ask is that we use whatever resources You have entrusted to us, for the greater good of those around us. A widow’s mite trumps gobs of gold if the heart is right! So if a wing is all I’ve got to give, help me to see the divine potential in its feathery protection. And may the recipient of that winged arbor feel Your love mixed with mine underneath that umbrella of comfort.
