Reflections 1/12/21: Today I meet with my oncologist to interpret the results of my recent petscan. The fact that she was insistent that we have a face-to-face appointment kinda freaks me out. My imagination has climbed atop a runaway horse. Shut up! Shut up! Thank You God for today’s devotional: “LET ME PREPARE YOU for the day that stretches out before you. I know exactly what this day will contain, whereas you have only vague ideas about it. You would like to see a map, showing all the twists and turns of your journey. You’d feel more prepared if you could somehow visualize what is on the road ahead. However, there is a better way to be prepared for whatever you will encounter today: Spend quality time with Me.” WOWZERS! How timely is that? Pretty simple too. Preparation for what lies ahead? “Spend time with Me.” That’s about as light as a person can travel. No travelogue necessary. Flashlight range of vision and my arm linked in Yours. That is enough. Guidance will come as needed. So accompany me to my appointment and give me the courage I need to face whatever lies ahead. That won’t be a surprise to You… nor an indictment of Your love for me, whatever the outcome.
