Reflections 4/13/2020: “To cut or not to cut… that is the question?” For once that isn’t about my hair, (since that succumbed to the chemo-wielded razor months ago)! It’s about my belly. And the upcoming surgery. Your prayers have caused my cancer markers to PLUMMET! Soooo, THANK YOU ALL! Next up, hysterectomy and omentum-dictomy! The ‘split you wide open’ kind of cut, or the ‘sneaky camera up and about laparoscopic kind’ of small incision? I debate this with the doctor tomorrow (Tuesday). It’s his call, but I want the plan of attack on the cancer cells removal to be as clean a sweep as possible! “Total annihilation!” “Hasta la vista baby!” A belly hack requires a few extra days-stay in the hospital, but would that be worth risking it (given the Coronavirus?) for more complete results? And does it actually tender better results? Hmmm… questions to ask! So pray for me in this appointment that together we will make the best decision for the long haul. Surgery could happen within the next few days of this appointment. I could care less about a big vertical abdominal scar, (since an emergency C-section years ago, and the inevitable aging process have long since rendered me “publicly indecent” in a bikini!) Aging does have its perks! No more lost bottoms while body surfing!!!
