Reflections 4/22/2020: Our trails are starting to green up and our beehives buzzing with Springtime frenzy! Since my foray into the world of medical marijuana, my nausea has been all but snuffed out! That has catapulted me back onto the seat of Paracleta, my mountain e-bike! We are hitting all our old trails with great gusto! (Gotta capitalize on the moments of no pain and spurts of energy!) My knee replacement squawks a little in protest, but I can feel how strong and sturdy my mechanical knee now is! No fear of blowouts, like before! God it feels soooo good to resume a piece of my pre-cancer life! I must admit I am nervous about the upcoming surgery. Not so much the actual surgery, but the recovery from it. It’s been such a long stretch of physical torment for almost a whole year that I am not looking forward to another new regime of pain. BUT, picturing all the cancer cells being eradicated from my enemy-occupied body keeps me motivated to plow forward though. What’s a little more pain for such a good gain? God, let us, You and me, keep moving forward despite fears. Give me strength to face whatever lies ahead!
