Reflections 1/23/2020: This is not me, but it sure feels like it! My abdominal distress has distended my belly so big that I feel like I could give birth to a giant watermelon… sitting (obnoxiously) sideways in my torso. Ahhhhhh!!!! The good news is that I battled my way into an earlier gastroenterologist appointment today instead of waiting another 5 days! Hallelujah! Not that it will be fixed instantly by this initial consultation, (I can only wish!), but, Lord willing, I will at least get a diagnosis and plan for treating it! That gives me HOPE! And HOPE is huge for me right now! It can get me through WHATEVER it takes to eject this unwanted watermelon from hijacking my body! Lord, I never realized how important HOPE is in facing adversity. It can give us an extra “second wind” to finish the race when we have exhausted all our own resources. Thank You for being “the God of all HOPE!”
