Reflections 7/21/2020: Well Roo has become Roo-thless, Un-Roo-ly and Roo-ambunctious! Those puppy razor-blade teeth and my chemo induced thin-skin (and blood thinner) don’t mix well! A normal puppy/mommy wrestling match erodes into a bloody gusher with the slightest slip of a tooth. Dang! Just when we are having so much fun too! I’ve cut the toes out of a pair of socks and wear them as arm guards, so that helps, but not enough. Distraction is the key. As Roo is going for my arms, squeeze a squeaky toy and his attention is swept to this diversion! Jam a chew stick into his snapping razor blades and I’m home free! I have to laugh at his easy distract-ability! Pretty simple minded! BUT, then I have to laugh at my own! Equally simple minded! A dupe, sucker, patsy for distract-ability! Great intentions Your direction, Lord, then Satan squeezes a squeaky toy of TV, FB scrolling, Netflix binging, or You-Tube surfing and I’m a goner! Diversion perversion! Sooo… sharpen up my resolve with puppy razor blade teeth to stay on course and fight for the BEST… not just the cheap, squeaky distraction!
