Reflections 3/17/2020: “When the cat’s away, the mice will play!” Took advantage of Ed being gone to charge up Paracleta and hit the road! I have to capitalize on my moments where my itching and nausea are asleep too! Paracleta and I flew through the sky (well actually on pavement), but I stood up on her pedals and pretended I was Rose leaning into the wind at the front bow of the Titanic! (Which luckily wasn’t a precursor to a cataclysmic wreck!) Paracleta tried to turn onto the mountain trails, but I reminded her that we need a few maiden runs on paved trails before we are ready for ruts, rocks and switchbacks! Heavenly! Fresh air! Speed! Re-engaging saggy muscles! Hope for healing on the horizon! I LAUGHED in the face of the Coronavirus virus! “Run, run as fast as you can! You can’t catch me I’m the Gingerbread man!” Thank You God for this jailbreak moment! It was nectar for my soul! And hopefully the shape of things to come!
