Reflections 5/14/2020: Yesterday Ed and I broke out of the confines of our home for a change of location. We found a creek that was hidden from the world, staged a picnic lunch and soaked in the sunlit, dancing waters! How refreshing and rejuvenating! I had heard that falling water has magical ion properties, so I looked it up later. Here’s the scoop… “Negative ions are odorless, tasteless, and invisible molecules that we inhale in abundance in certain environments. Think mountains, waterfalls, and beaches. Once they reach our bloodstream, negative ions are believed to produce biochemical reactions that increase levels of the mood chemical serotonin, helping to alleviate depression, relieve stress, and boost our daytime energy.” WOW!! Exactly what I was feeling! Water therapy!! Water that is on the move anyway… embracing its fall. Like me. I need to be “on the move” to keep stagnation from taking place. Maybe I too can, like falling water, produce ions that inspire hope, joy and love, as I allow the roiling waters of life to spill over me. White water ions to the rescue!
