Reflections 8/26/2020: “Meet the secretary bird. Always fine and elegant, the Secretary Hail is a bird of prey relative to falcons and eagles, native to Africa and can measure around 1,35 m tall! They are venomous snake hunters. Despite their glamorous appearance they don’t retreat to the attack of enemies, no matter how dangerous they are! Her scientific name is Sagittarius Serpentarius.” I have a new heroine! Isn’t she gorgeous? I fell in love with her even before reading about her bravery and prowess in battle. THEN it was a done deal! Honey Badger move over! Actually, given the overdose of adrenalin that rushes into my body when threatened, I would be better served with a docile, sedentary animal for my mascot! Right, Jesus? But who can resist those long strutting legs (step aside Barbie!), and fluttering eyelashes? (Oh for a few wisps on my eyelids!) God, I don’t think You begrudge me a brave heart, especially in battle, BUT, I gotta keep giving this Sagittarius Serpentarius pluck into Your gentle-izing touch! Battles with venomous snakes will happen, but why strut around looking for them? New motto… “Walk softly and carry some killer eyelashes!”
