Corny  but funny! Just needed a gut laugh this morning. Then this popped up! I think it may have even been a conversation Ed and I have had as he put in his order for a new company car… except me being the one begging for heated seats! As I think back on so many times I prayed fervently for an outcome I thought best, only to have it blow up in my face when answered, I find myself post scripting my prayers more and more often with, “never-the-less, not my will but Yours be done!” “Name it and claim it” kind of prayer has a demanding quality to it that begs a lesson in humility. We need to approach Your Throne of Grace with confidence that You are a good God who hears us, but not with arrogance, demanding our own way! Thank You for this kernel of truth to munch on to butter up my day!
