As I am scribbling down my life story, I am finding many stops along the way. Stops to freeze the frame on what was going on inside of me as well as externally. Kinda fun! Doesn’t lose the momentum of the moment at the time it occurred, but adds the riches of what was burgeoning inside of me as a result of those experiences! Best of both! Some of my deep rooted “vows” born of both good and bad interactions now make sense! And exposed, I can make some much needed choices about whether they are helpful or harmful in my present-tense world. Retrospective wisdom! For example, one of my sisters (to remain unnamed!) wrote in bold letters across her closet, “Never trust another woman!” Impressionable, I think I bought into that at some level. But experience has taught me differently! Not blind trust, but discerning trust. So gotta dump that adage going forward! A sort of Spring cleaning as I march down memory lane! Loving this journey! Every moment is rich with character forming significance! Even now in my 60’s I am still “becoming!” So chip away Lord! Anything that doesn’t look like You!
